Manipulation-Resistant Reputation Systems
Stub. Why reputation systems matter, effects of reputations on behavior, whitewashing (identity-reset attacks), eliciting effort and honest feedback, and reputation based on transitive trust. (AGT ch. 27)
Designing reputation systems that survive strategic manipulation: the effect reputations have on participant behavior, the whitewashing attack (cheaply discarding a bad reputation by rejoining under a new identity), mechanisms for eliciting truthful effort and feedback, and propagating reputation through a trust graph (transitive trust).
